History

With the Decree of the Council of Ministers No. 2009/15546 published in the Official Gazette No. 27405 dated November 13, 2009, and the Council of Ministers No. 2009/15612 (annex) published in the Official Gazette, when its students graduate and not to exceed the 2015-2016 academic year at the latest.

A total of 26 new faculties, including 3 new types, were established within the universities where the Vocational and Technical Education Faculties were closed.

Of these closed faculties, 21 new technology faculties have been established in universities with a total of 21 faculties, 19 of which are "Technical Education Faculties" and 2 "Vocational and Technical Education Faculties".

The departments of 7 of these 21 Technology Faculties that meet the education criteria applied for engineering were opened to education and students were accepted for the 2010-2011 academic year.

One of these 7 Faculties, which are approved for student admission, is the newly established Technology Faculty within Marmara University.

In this Faculty, 6 Engineering Departments have been opened with 11 Faculty Members, 3 of them; With the 2010 Student Selection and Placement System (ÖSYS), 21 students from the General Quota and 31 students from the Vocational and Technical Secondary Education Graduates Quota (MTOK), a total of 52 students were accepted to Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering and Metallurgical and Materials Engineering Departments.
